It’s official, President Donald Trump is running again for re-election in 2020.

The news broke on Tuesday and was first reported by Matt Drudge on the influential Drudge Report.

“The advanced planning for the 2020 race begins,” Trump’s re-election campaign said as it announced the decision.

We did have some prior knowledge of his re-election efforts, as Trump filed the necessary paperwork to organize his re-election committee on the same day as his inauguration.

Not to mention that has also held various campaign rallies during his time in office.

While not explicitly known to some, they’ve been intended for early campaigning in 2020.

New Campaign Manager

President Trump has chosen Brad Parscale to lead his 2020 re-election bid as campaign manager.

While you may not have heard of him before, he served as Trump’s top digital operations guru for the 2016 campaign and was credited with possibly tipping the election in Trump’s favor.

He turned down a job at the White House in favor of continuing his work in digital advertising.

Everyone seems to have nothing but good things to say about Parcsale:

He’s won over support from the Trump family, with Eric Trump saying, “Brad is an amazing talent and was pivotal to our success in 2016. He has our family’s complete trust and is the perfect person to be at the helm of the campaign.”

Others have called the new campaign manager a genius:

This is a good sign for Trump’s chances in 2020 and gives us a glimpse into the direction his new campaign will take.

Social media was critical to his victory in 2016, and a campaign manager that understands this should give us all some hope for Trump’s 2020 prospects.

No Surprise Here

This should come as no real surprise, it’d be shocking if the man didn’t run for a second term.

First they said he wouldn’t run, then they said he wasn’t serious. He won the nomination and the media laughed at the notion of the Donald assuming the presidency.

But his run was real and they’re not laughing now. The goal from the beginning has been for a successful two-term presidency.

Apparently to some on the left, this is news. But those of us in the America First movement have always known this would be the case.

2016 marked Trump’s campaign to make America great again, 2020 will be his battle to keep America great.
