On this Memorial Day, we honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our great nation.
Our debt to those who made the ultimate sacrifice can never be repaid. These heroes will not be forgotten, and America is forever grateful for their service.
Today, it does matter what your race, gender, sexuality, religion or political beliefs are, every American who enjoys their freedoms should respect our military.
Patriotism is love and admiration for one’s country and healthy and constructive criticism of government. You can hate the government and still love your country, the two are separable.
Make no mistake, America is the greatest nation in the history of the world. The reason for our exceptionalism is because of those who fought to preserve it.
On this Memorial Day, we also remember that freedom is not free. The land of the free and the home of the brave is only free because of the brave.
Whether on the beaches of Normandy, the jungles in Vietnam, or any conflict the United States has come across, those who answered their calling and dawned the uniform fought for not only a better America, but for a better world.
If you are an American, you have an obligation to thank those who have made sacrifices for the freedoms we all enjoy. You also have the freedom to ignore that obligation, but with freedom comes responsibility in a democratic republic.
Whether you’re just relaxing on this holiday or you’re out having a good time, take a moment to realize how blessed you are to live in this country, and maybe even say a prayer for those who are no longer with us due to their service.
And for the men and women who passed away in the line of duty, we honor and salute you. We will never forget you.
God bless the brave heroes who sacrificed everything and God bless America. Thank you.
